Economics 101
Congress passed the “Economic Stimulus” Bill less than 24 hours after the compromise was negotiated between the House and Senate. What was the hurry? Especially why hurry when Obama then took nearly a week to sign the bill even after claiming he wanted to sign it without delay. Most of this bill has nothing to do with stimulating the economy. The spending is spread out over several years. Why the rush to pass a bill that does not spend the money right away? There was only one reason to rush this through. The Democrats knew the American people would have resisted the bill if given a chance to understand all that it contained.
What this bill does is lead us ever closer to a socialist society. The bill will not help improve our economic condition. If anything it will out us into a deeper recession. Obama and the Democrats in Congress would love that to happen. It would give them an excuse to impose additional socialist practices. There has never been a successful socialist society. If we are not watchful this president and Congress will be the most destructive to the American way of life in history.
