Stevens convicted

Senator Ted Stevens was convicted yesterday. Already Republicans (including McCain) are calling on him to resign. In almost every case of a Republican legislator getting into hot water his own party calls for that person to step down. Not so with the Left. Don’t believe this? Let’s look at some of them. Kennedy, drunk driving resulting in the death of a young woman. Result; not even a trial and still serving in the Senate. Barn door Franks; a male prostitution ring ran out of his Washington apartment. Results still serving in the House. Jeffers of La caught on tape taking a bribe. Result the FBI tried to search his office and Bush was accused of trying to go against the “Separation of Powers.” Still serving in the House. Hastings, a former Federal Judge convicted of basically the same crime as Stevens and impeached. Result, now serving in the House. Need I continue? This happens time after time.

30 wasted minutes

October 29, 2008 at 8:37 am (Conservative, Politics, Uncategorized)

Obama is going to appear in a infomercial on most of the networks tonight. I can not think of many ways to waste a half hour than listening to a half hour of lies. The left tells us this will be an important program because Obama will have the opportunity to tell the American people what he really thinks. They tell us that what he says is all that matters. His past does not in any way reflect what he will do if elected. Who his friends are does not matter. Only what he says matters. This is hogwash. The old saying ” You know who a person is by who they call friends” is as true today as it was in my grandparents day.
