Post Election thoughts
The Republican won big last week. The question now is, Will they stay true to the conservative beliefs of the citizens who elected them. That question will be partially answered starting with the upcoming Lame Duck session of Congress. If the Republicans allow any of the left’s policy goals to be passed their political lives will be limited. The Left still controls the House but Republicans have the ability to stop any legislation dead in its tracks by not allowing a volte. SanFranNan and Reed will be trying to repeal Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. among other legislation. Republicans must defeat the left’s Lame Duck ideas. Republicans must not allow any legislation to pass before the new Congress begins January 2, 2011!
What makes an event racist?
The left wants us to believe Glen Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally at the Washington Monument was racist. The Main Stream Media has been in the forefront making sure everyone knows those in attendance were “mostly white.” Since when has the color of those in attendance made an event racist? Can you imagine anyone calling the Million Man March racist just because mostly blacks attended? For that matter, did you hear any claims that Al Sharpton’s competing event was racist? Beck asked, and for the most part people followed his request that NO protest signs be displayed. The left’s attempt to brand the event racist was undermined by the fact that Dr. Martin Luther King’s niece Alveda King was one of the speakers. Of course, both Sharpton and the media forgot this key piece of information in their reporting. Were the writers of most of the Main Stream Media’s stories about this rally taking a basic college logic course, they would fail. They have no logical argument. The statement that most attendees were white is meant only to create a false mind set in the reader. America deserves more, but with today’s mass media we have come to expect these outright deceptions in the name of hard news.
Kill the Mormans
The health care debate continues to rage in Congress and the press. Almost daily we read about some country whose population lives longer than the average American. This longevity difference is used as an argument favoring the Health Care takeover favored by the Democrats and their friends in the media. What they fail to do is look at the underlying numbers . They won’t tell you that the United States ranks at or close to the top in the treatment and survival from some specific medical issues. As an example, Americans are at the top in survival from some types of cancer. They are at the top in survival from stroke and heart disease.
If this is true, why do people in countries with socialized health care systems have longer ? One of the primary reasons is life style. Americans tend to have poorer diets. We consume more fat and drink more alcohol. We also take more addicting drugs. Our inner cities tend to be more dangerous places than many other cities. It is not unusual to see more violent death in cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, New Orleans and Washington than in Bagdad. Our young people are killing each other in gang warfare at an alarming rate. This have nothing to do with the quality of health care.
The Democrats and their liberal bed fellows have perverted the Constitution’s equal protection clause to mean equal outcome. They have done this in education, employment and many other areas of life. Their Health Care takeover is attempt to do the same. Studies have shown that Mormans, with their healthier lifestyles, then to live nearly 10 years longer than the average American. This must seem so unfair to liberals. What can they do about this unfair outcome? We know they can not improve the life expectancy of the average American. It would appear the only way to correct this unfair advantage held by the Mormans is to mandate Mormans die sooner. You might say this is absurd, but it is the same argument used by liberals in so many other areas of life.
It is time for the Health Care Bill to be put in the trash heap and real reform be considered. This time try using real facts instead of manipulating the facts to fit your desires to control the country.
More questions about Global Warming
In a BBC interview Phil Jones claimed the “trick” he was referring to in the hacked e-mail was “a convenient way of … joining the earlier valid part of tree ring data with the recent, more reliable instrumental record.” He admits that recent tree ring data does not agree with actual temperature . The tree rings actually indicate cooler temperatures than the instruments do. He insists that the wild ass guesses he and others made based on earlier tree ring growths remain valid. If recent data does not agree how much assurance do we have that guesses based on the same methodology have any validity? Read the interview yourself. It is full of these self-serving revelations. Looks like even Jones is admitting the books have been cooked while continuing to be th High Priest of Global Warming.
The left compains when a Supreme Court Justice tells the truth
Obama complained the ruling would allow foreign money to influence elections. Was it not Bill Clinton who sent Al Gore to speak to Buddhist monks? Was it not Bill Clinton who accepted contributions from China? The left will argue Billy Boy returned the money, but that was only after he was caught.
Obama has a lot of room to talk. No one really knows where much of his funding actually came from. Much of his internet contributions were from prepaid VISA cards. There was no name connected with these contributions so we don’t know if they were actually legal.
We do know that BO’s campaign depended heavily on organizations like ACORN. You know, taxpayer funded organizations that spent taxpayer money in support of a candidate. We also know that BO’s Justice Department will never do anything about these violations just like they did nothing about the documented voter intimidation by the New Black Panther Party and labor unions.
Obama lied and he did so knowingly. Why should that be a surprise? Obama would not know the truth if he bit him in the arse.
Patriotism
When did the unquestioning support of a politician’s actions become the definition of patriotism? For that matter, when did the definition of patriotism become the unquestioning obedience to a political party?
To hear the left talk today failure to mindlessly support the party in control is treason. Some in Congress have actually had the unmitigated gall to call conservatives traitors for legitimate policy disagreements.
I submit to you those who support this proposition have little understanding of this great nation’s history and even less understanding of the Constitution. BO himself has called for those who disagree with him to shut up.
Do you remember when those on the left claimed that disagreeing with the president was the most patriotic thing they could do? Our elected officials swore to protect and defend the Constitution against “ALL ENEMIES, FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC” Failure to do so is not patriotic, it is treason.
Have we become a nation of lemmings? I fear for the future of this nation if our citizens continue with this unquestioning obedience to any politician or political party.
Our founders must be rolling over in their graves today. This administration and Congress have failed to follow the Constitution. They have, in fact, displayed scorn when questioned about the Constitutionally of their actions. SanFranNan, instead of providing a clear answer when asked where the authority for the takeover of the health care system, the questioner if he was serious.
This administration and Congress has demonstrated their lack of regard for the Constitution and the rule of law. They have demonstrated their contempt for the citizen who dares disagree with them. They have branded conservatives political terrorists. It is time we tell them to start looking for a new job.
Read the Constitution Mr. President
What are the powers granted to the Federal government? Read Article I, Section 8 for the powers of Congress. Note that this Section grants Congress the power to levy taxes to “Provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United States.” This section does not say provide for the Welfare of the People of the United States. It is specific that Congress should provide for the Welfare of the country.
This section also calls for Congress to promote the Progress of Science and the Arts. This support is limited to giving the Authors and Inventors the Exclusive Right to their Writings and Discoveries for “limited Times. The Constitution does not give the Congress the right to provide funding for either the Arts or Sciences.
Section 10 lays out what is prohibited to the States. These are; entering into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; granting Letters of Marquee and Reprisal, coin money, emit Bills of Credit, make any Thing but gold and silver Coins a Tender in Payment of Debts, pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility.
States also cannot, without the Consent of Congress lay any Imposts or Duties on Imports or Exports, except when ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY for executing its inspection Laws. Any of these imposts and duties are reserved of the Treasury of the United States.
President
Commander in Chief of the Navy and Army and of the Militia of the States when they are called into actual service of the United States.
Making treaties with the advice and consent of the Senate. Treaties require the consent of two-thirds of the Senate.
Nominate and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Councils, Judges of the Supreme Court and all other Officers of the United States whose appointments are not otherwise provided for.
NOTE: The Constitution DOES NOT give the President any domestic powers. Therefore it is a violation of the Constitution when the President and by default, his cabinet make any rules that are Domestic in Nature. I believe any rules made by any Cabinet Department except the Departments of Defense, Commerce, State and Homeland Security UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
Saved Jobs
BO claims he has saved or created over 500,000 jobs with his stimulus plan. What is really telling is the MSM has accepted this claim without question. The truth is there is NO WAY the administration can possibly count the number of “SAVED” jobs. Were this claim made by anyone but the anointed one the media would be up in arms. This is beyond a SWAG, it is a bold faced lie. BO has no idea if his policies have saved even one job. As far as the creation of new jobs, this is even more of a joke. Truth is these “Jobs” are government make work positions that are only temporary. How this clown can claim to be creating or saving jobs when the unemployment level is increasing every week is really questionable. Is BO so stupid as to believe this crap or does he just think we are that stupid.
Looking at the blogs it really looks like a large number of Americans are dumb enough to believe every lie that comes out of the mouth of BO. BO is a serial lier. Even China is laughing at his claims he will be able to balance the budget while spending more than all previous administrations in history. BO is a real and present danger to this great nation and needs to be removed from office along with the leadership of the house and senate. These people swore to suport and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. If they think they are following this oath, they need to read the Constitution. BO claims to be a Constitutional Scholar. What a laugh. If he truly is an expert in constitutional law, he needs to resign from office because of his failure to follow it.
Yes Men Wanted
Word is BO is thinking about firing General McChrystal. Why? The General dared disagree with BO and his team of incompetents about how the war in Afghanistan should be conducted. Today’s politicians failed to learn the most important lesson from Vietnam. What lesson? Once you get us into a war, let the Generals run it. What makes BO think he is a military expert? This is yet another area where a man with NO experience is leading this country down the WRONG path.
They’ve done it before!
According to Michael Barone, the Senate has passed an unpopular bill with only a one vote majority in the past. The problem is we need to go back over a century to find that event. The legislation was the Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1854. Senator Stephen Douglas, Democrat of Illinois was the lead sponsor. The result of the bills passage was wide ranging. Politically, it resulted in the founding of the Republican Party. Prior to passing the bill the Democrats held a 159-71 majority. After the elections of 1854-55 the Republicans had a 108-83 majority.
What did this bill championed by the “party of the people” do? What did this bill championed by the party that cares so deeply for minority rights do? What did this bill championed by the party that likes to claim responsibility for blacks gaining civil rights do? All it did was repeal the 34 year old Missouri Compromise that prohibited slavery north of Arkansas and substituded popular sovereignty. That’s right, it made slavery the subject of a vote; a vote of WHITE MALES as only they had the right to vote. Indirectly, it led to the Civil War.
Why should anyone be surprised that it was the Democrat Party who was responsible for this flaunting the will of the majority? Not much has changed in a century, has it!
Senate Votes to Bankrupt the US
Well they did it. The Senate Democrats voted in mass to stop debate over the take over of the medical sector of the economy. Not one senator had the intestinal fortitude to stand up to Harry Reed and say NO to this unconstitutional power grab. What is really telling is that while they voted in favor of ending debate, none of them has actually seen the bill, let alone read it. The Democrats have shown their true colors with this vote. They have proven they have NO integrity. They are willing to toe the line and give BO whatever he wants and DAMN the country. Like BO’s preacher, the Senate has now said GOD DAMN AMERICA. Our Christmas prayer should be the defeat of every member who voted in favor of this power grab. The America we know will no longer exist if these clowns have their way. What I fear is BO will declare martial law and the Senate and House Democrats will agree. I would not be surprised to hear BO attempt to cancel the 2010 elections as well as the 2012 presidential election. I truly fear for the future of the United States of America.
Random thoughts
The Main Stream Media is at it again. They are using basically the same language to describe the attendance at the pro gay rights march on Washington as they used for the 9-12 anti-tax march. They are saying it was attended by “thousands”. Reading the reports you are led to believe attendance at both was similar. Nothing could be further from the truth. The attendance at the 9-12 event exceeded that of the gay march by a double digit factor. Problem is, to admit that the media would also have to admit that the “Tea Party Mobs” are more than just a small minority of the U.S. population and should be ignored.
I have heard members of Congress claim the authority for their involvement in health care comes from Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution. This claim shows a true lack of knowledge on the part of these members of Congress. This section does say the “Congress shall have the power to … provide … for the general Welfare of the United States”. Note, there is nothing in this section that says anything about the welfare of individual citizens. The section only speaks to the welfare of the nation as a whole. If the founders had intended this to refer to the people as individuals they would have said so. Were the argument that health care legislation is permitted by this section there would be NO limit to the power of Congress as they could argue that anything they wanted to do was permitted because it was for the generale welfare.
Article 1 Section 8 also requires that Excise Taxes shall be uniform throughout the United States. The Senate Heath Care Bill exempts some states from several tax provisions. This exemption is a direct violation of this Constitutional provision.
There are those who would call me a “political terrorist” due to my views. They also call me a racist due to my disagreement with BO. It is the height of arrogance that the same people who called George Bush every name in the book should condemn me for disagreeing with their warped view of the Constitution. They condemn me for actions that they claimed were the height of patriotism when they used them to condemn Bush.
